Discord Timestamp Generator

Build a Discord timestamp tag for any date and time. Discord displays it in each reader's own timezone, so an event time never has to be converted by hand. Useful for event announcements, giveaways, and deadlines.

  3. Copy the generated tag and paste it into a Discord message or embed.

Examples

Frequently asked questions

Why does the time look different for other people?

That is the point of the format. Discord converts the timestamp to each reader's own timezone and locale, so everyone sees the correct local time.

What do the style letters mean?

t is short time, T is long time, d is short date, D is long date, f is short date and time, F is long date and time, and R is relative time.

Does the relative style update by itself?

Yes. Discord refreshes relative timestamps while the message is on screen, so "in 5 minutes" counts down.

Where can I use timestamp tags?

In normal messages, and in embed descriptions and field values. Paste the tag exactly as generated, including the angle brackets.
